MEET THE TEAM
A founding member of our organization, Kelley has been in recovery over a decade. She has served as co-president for many years. Helping others overcome substance abuse disorder is her passion and her mission. Kelley is both insightful and compassionate in her work.
With us since our founding, Daphne has been a most valuable team member. She brings years of experience in the field of social work with the Tennessee Department of Children's Services to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed.
The newest member of our team, Shelia French joined Helping Hands Overcoming Addiction with the vision and drive to serve our Non-Profit Organization as Treasurer. She is focused on using her gifts as an accountant and her servant's heart to promote our vision and mission.
Chassity has been a member of the Helping Hands Board of Directors since 2020. Chassity serves as the Wayne County Clerk and Master and is pursuing her law degree. She desires to see our Non-profit expand to help more people overcome substance use disorder.
Correspondence and Fundraising Assistant
After retiring from a career with Farm Bureau, Sandra has joined Helping Hands & Gateway House's staff as a part-time correspondence secretary and fundraising assistant. Sandra loves people and will be a wonderful addition to our team!
Heather began working as a part-time house monitor in 2021, not long after the Gateway House opened. On January 1, 2022, she joined the team as full-time house monitor. Heather has been in recovery five years. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her military background and her own battle with substance abuse to help the women we serve. In January 2023 Heather became a Certified Peer Recover Specialist. What a blessing to have Heather as our full-time house monitor!
